But Jesus said, Forbid him not. There is no man who shall do a miracle
in my name that can lightly speak evil of me. He that is not against us
is on our part. Whosoever shall give to drink a cup of water in my
name, because ye belong to Christ, shall not lose his reward. And
whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it
is better for him that a millstone were hung around his neck, and he
were cast into the sea.
If thy hand offend thee, cut it off. It is better for thee to enter
into life maimed than to have two hands and go into hell where the worm
does not die and the fire is never quenched. And if thy foot offend
thee, cut it off. It is better for thee to enter halt into life than to
have two feet to be cast into hell where the worm does not die and the
fire is never quenched. And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out. It
is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye than
to have two eyes to be cast into hell fire. For every one shall be
salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt. Salt
is good. But if the salt has lost its flavor, with what will ye season
it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.
10 From there Jesus went into the coasts of Judaea by way of the
far side of Jordan. He was met by a large crowd who wanted to hear Him
speak and He taught them again.
