Solve Problems for Sellers
Sellers have special problems with nonpaid items. eBay considers nonpaying a
serious violation of its policy and prohibits buyers from not following through
with payment for items they have won in a bid or Buy It Now purchase. Sellers
have several options: they can block buyers from bidding on their sales, they
can relist an item not paid for, they can make Second Chance Offers to other
bidders, or they can request a refund on the costs of relisting items. A Bidder
Alert may be placed on a nonpaying bidder, which is a serious thing. See
Table 9-2 for timing considerations.
File an Unpaid Item Dispute
To enter into a dispute with a buyer who has not paid for an item you have sent
to them, you must notify eBay by opening a dispute.
1. Click My eBay on the eBay header. Find and copy the item number for the unpaid
item by highlighting it and pressing CTRL+C, or write it down where you can
remember it.
2. In the My eBay Views sidebar, scroll down and click Dispute Console.
