In addition to the protections offered by PayPal, you may also be protected
by your credit card policies, such as Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American
Express.
FILE WITH PAYPAL
In order to file for reimbursement from PayPal, you must file within 20 days of
the dispute being opened and the item must be PayPal-protected.
To file a claim with PayPal Buyer Protection:
1. Verify that the item is protected by PayPal and that
you paid using PayPal. The following logo will be
displayed beneath the Meet The Seller area in the View
Item page.
2. In PayPal, sign in and click the My Account tab.
3. Click Resolution Center on the menu bar.
4. On the Resolution Center page, click Report A Problem.
5. On the Report A Problem page, click Item Dispute. Click Continue.
6. On the Resolution Center ??“ Open A Dispute page, scroll down, set the date ranges
for the transactions you want to see, and if you do not know the transaction ID, click
Select Transaction ID. You will be shown the history of your transactions. Click the
Transaction ID you want to dispute, as shown in Figure 9-10.
