7. The buyer and seller now are communicating. The Dispute Console now becomes the
way by which the seller and buyer track communication.
8. At some point, the dispute will be closed, either because the dispute has been
resolved or because it has not been. In this case, the buyer can choose to report
the seller to the eBay Trust and Safety Team. The team will determine if the seller
has abused the system and take appropriate action. The buyer can put in a claim to
PayPal to be reimbursed. If the dispute is not actively closed by the buyer, it will be
automatically closed by eBay after 90 days. In this case, the seller will not be reported
to the Trust and Safety Team.
FILE A CLAIM TO BE REIMBURSED
In some cases, after not being able to successfully resolve your dispute with
the previously described procedure, you can file a claim to be reimbursed for
purchases in which you have not received the item and have paid for it using
PayPal??™s Buyer Protection feature. PayPal may pay up to $2,000 per claim.
