USE eBAY??™S ITEM NOT RECEIVED OR SIGNIFICANTLY
NOT AS DESCRIBED PROCESS
Between 10 to 60 days after a listing has been ended, and after you have
exhausted efforts to contact the seller individually, you can open a dispute with
the seller. In this procedure, eBay facilitates communication between the buyer
and seller by giving them choices each step of the way. If the dispute is not
resolved within 90 days, the dispute is closed and the buyer can no longer file a
Trust And Safety complaint with eBay.
1. Click My eBay on the eBay header.
2. In the My eBay Views sidebar, scroll down and click Dispute Console.
3. On the Dispute Console page, click Report An Item Not Received Or Not As
Described.
4. On the Report An Item Not Received page, shown in Figure 9-9, you see an
explanation of the process. Type the item number of the disputed item in the Item
Number text box, and click Continue. Follow the prompts until the report is finalized.
5. At this point, the dispute has been opened, and eBay now contacts the seller to tell
them about your dispute.
