Deal with Buyer Problems
As a buyer, you may find several forms of fraud on eBay. Someone may pretend
to be from eBay in order to access your personal information, or sellers may be
fraudulent in their item descriptions. If, as a buyer, you have not been able to
resolve the issue by contacting the seller and you still have not received your
item after paying for it, or if the item is significantly different from what you
expected, you have other choices available to you. This section addresses some
of the problems you may encounter and how to resolve them.
Detect and Report Account Theft
Account theft can happen when someone else learns of your User ID or
password and uses that information to steal your identity on eBay. He or she
might purchase items on your credit cards, even
going so far as to change your password so that
you can no longer monitor your own account.
