Not having enough information is not an excuse for
buying something you didn??™t want. Ask yourself
these questions:
??? Do I really know what I??™m buying? Is this a prohibited or
borderline product? If so, avoid it. Do I know everything
I need to know about this product??™s history and its current
condition?
??? If I have questions, have I contacted the seller? Have I gotten
a response? Has the response reassured me or raised more
questions? (See Chapters 2 and 3.)
??? Have I looked at the seller??™s feedback rating? What does it tell
me? What are the customer comments?
??? Do I really know how much I should be paying for this item?
Have I researched what other similar products have sold for
recently? (See Chapter 2.)
??? Is this an unsolicited offer? Avoid it.
??? How am I paying for it? Am I using a safe technique, such as
PayPal? Keep a record of all your purchases.
NOTE
The Sell Your Item form helps to inform the buyer about
your shipping and handling terms by letting you select
options (such as payment choices, return times, buyer
filters, etc.) and then placing them in the View Item page
the buyers will see.
Figure 9-2: This payment policy is an example of how
you can make it easy for the reader to follow and
understand your terms.
Bob the buyer wants
to know that the seller
is a real person who
will take the time to
communicate.
