Create the text of your invoice in a word-processing program, such as Microsoft Word.
Include at a minimum:
??? A description of what was bought and its item number
??? Your mailing address if you accept paper currency, such as checks or money orders
??? A reiteration of the payment and shipping instructions that appear in the listing
(make sure the two sets of instructions are the same), including shipping method,
insurance costs, when you expect to be paid, and when you will send the item
??? A mention that you will leave feedback when paid (recommended) and you would
appreciate the same from the buyer when the item is received
??? A ???thank you??? for the opportunity to do business with the buyer
2. Copy and paste the text into your e-mail program, and send the invoice. (Ensure you
have the buyer??™s e-mail address correctly spelled in the To field of the e-mail!)
3. Save the word-processing document for use in future sales.
4. In My eBay, update the item??™s status when you get paid. In the
Items I??™ve Sold view, in the item??™s Action column drop-down list,
select Mark As Payment Received.
TIP
Let buyers know that you have received payment by
dropping them a quick e-mail. Even when paying through
secure methods, such as credit cards and PayPal, it??™s a
nice touch to let the buyer know that his or her part of the
transaction has gone through successfully.
