SEND YOUR OWN INVOICE
To create a more personal feel to your transaction, you can create your own
invoice and have complete control over what you say to your buyer. Also, an
invoice of your own is a more flexible tool if you have left shipping costs and
other details open for negotiation until after the sale is completed.

CAUTION
To avoid confusing your buyers with multiple invoices,
ensure that you disable the Checkout feature if you plan
on sending your own invoices. See ???Use Checkout to
Send an Invoice??? earlier in the chapter.
TIP
If you want to get more creative with your invoice than
your e-mail program allows, you can use more advanced
formatting features in your word processor and attach the
invoice as a file attachment to the e-mail you send the
buyer. You do run the risk, however, that a small number
of buyers might have problems opening the file, either
because they have their security settings set up to block
attachments or because they don??™t have a compatible
word-processing program on their computer. Have a toneddown
version of your invoice available to send just in case.
