Invoice the Buyer
An invoice is a document sent by you, the seller, stating
the amount owed by the buyer who is receiving the goods
or services. Invoicing used to be a personal e-mail from
the seller directly to the buyer (and still can be) in which
payment and shipping details were reiterated; however, the ease-of-use features
in the eBay and PayPal system-generated invoices make the automated process
hard to beat.
USE CHECKOUT TO SEND AN INVOICE
By default, when you set up a seller account, eBay??™s Checkout feature is enabled
and provides the winning bidder or buyer a Pay Now button that, when
clicked, will make an instant PayPal transfer if that is the only payment you
offer (see Figure 8-5).

COMBINING PURCHASES
ON AN INVOICE
You can offer to combine multiple purchases from a
buyer into one invoice and offer a shipping discount. If
you choose this feature, you will see the option in the
shipping area of your next Sell Your Item form (giving
you the choice of excluding certain items). Successful
bidders and buyers will see the other items you have for
sale on the congratulatory e-mail they receive from eBay.
