Search for a Category Using Keywords
You can find a category to list your item in by providing keywords that relate to
your item and having eBay search its listings inventory and seeing where other
sellers are listing like items.
1. On the Sell page, type one or more keywords in the What Are You Selling? text box
(see Figure 6-2).
2. Click Sell It. The Sell: Select A Category page displays one or more category
hierarchies, listed in order by an estimate of the percentage of items found in each,
as shown in Figure 6-3.
NOTE
Not all items for sale on eBay use the standard Sell Your
Item form. Specialty sites, such as eBay Express, eBay
Motors, and Half.com, use their own selling forms to list
items (see Chapters 5 and 10 for more information on
selling in eBay specialty sites).
