Select a Category
All items on eBay are cataloged into categories, which provide a hierarchical listing
of general-to-specific organization of the millions of items listed in auctions. As
there are around 35,000 categories to choose
from, you want to ensure that your item is
cataloged in a logical place where buyers
would most intuitively look for it.
To start the process of selling on eBay:
1. Click Sell on the eBay header.

Point to Sell on the eBay header, and click
Sell An Item.
In either case, the first page of the Sell Your
Item form, the Sell page, displays as shown
in Figure 6-2.

PROMOTE AND REVIEW YOUR LISTING PAGE
You can make any last-minute changes before you
submit the listing to eBay using these four sections:
1. Make Your Listing Stand Out lets you add listing
upgrades.
2. Recommendations For Your Listing lets you
review recommendations from eBay to better your
chances of having a successful sale.
3. Preview Your Listing is where you see your
listing as it will look to bidders.
4. Fees is where you review listing fees.
