DESCRIBING YOUR ITEM
An item description serves several basic purposes.
??? It captures a buyer??™s attention using fonts, color,
pictures, and other design elements.
??? It clearly describes the item you are selling in terms
of what it has to offer and the condition it is in.
??? It acts as a placeholder for photos and graphics
that support the text.
??? It informs the bidder of transaction details, such
as payment and shipping/handling (payment and
shipping are addressed separately later in the
Sell Your Item form, though many sellers prefer to
explain their policies in their descriptions).
??? It helps you avoid potential headaches (or legal
action) by accurately describing the item so that
the buyer cannot claim that the item is not as
described.
