1. On the eBay home page, click Security Center on the
second links bar.
2. On the Security & Resolution page, under Resources, click
Rules And Polices.
3. In the Rules & Policies area, click Your eBay User
Agreement to review several screens of general policies
and links to additional information.
4. In the Rules For Selling area (shown in Figure 5-2):
??? Click Prohibited And Restricted Items to see lists of these products.
??? Click Rules For Listings to read about selling-specific policies, including how you
can accept payment and how not to misrepresent items.
??? Click Rules About Intellectual Property to learn how to avoid running afoul of
copyright issues, problems with selling replicas and copies, and how to avoid
counterfeits.

NOTE
A key element you must obtain to be able to sell on eBay
is a seller??™s account. Unlike the original Sell Your Item
form, where you created an account prior to your first
listing, the latest Sell Your Item form (in use in late 2006/
early 2007) now provides you the opportunity to create the
account as you complete your first listing. See Chapter 6
for information on creating listings using the latest Sell
Your Item form and setting up your seller??™s account.
