PAY BY CREDIT CARD
Using a credit card, either through eBay??™s PayPal or
through the seller??™s charge program, is fairly safe, as
most credit cards, such as Visa or MasterCard, have
programs for protecting buyers from fraudulent use.
USE ESCROW
When you are buying a higher-priced item, say over
$500, you can pay for it using www.escrow.com, an
escrow service. In this case, the escrow service receives
the buyer??™s money, holding on to it until the buyer
receives the item. If everything is acceptable with the
buyer, he or she approves distributing the money to
the seller. There is a problem, however, with fraudulent
escrow services, which is why eBay asks that you use
their approved escrow service only, www.escrow.com.
