1. On the View Item page (you can find links to the item in your My eBay Items I??™ve Won
view, e-mails, and other notifications), click Ask Seller A Question in the Meet The
Seller area, or click Contact Member in the
member??™s Feedback Profile page.

NOTE
Bids are accepted from both
online bidders and bidders
present on the floor. If there
are two bids placed for the
same amount, the auctioneer
recognizes the bid that was
placed first. So if you have a bid
that is the same as the highest,
but you are not the highest
bidder, it is because someone
else beat you to that bid amount.
QUICKFACTS
UNDERSTANDING A BID
RETRACTION
Retracting a bid is considered to be an exception. It is
generally not permitted.
CONSEQUENCES OF RETRACTING A BID
Retracting bids is a serious matter, and eBay may
investigate in some cases where you have several
retractions within the last six months, where bids are
continuously retracted during the last 24 hours (could be
bid shilling, which is trying to raise the bid amount), or
where a seller has complained.
