??? Items for a particular auction are
listed within a catalog, which you can
browse during or before the auction is
held. Catalogs often follow a theme or
category
??? Once you have determined your
category, you browse the catalog
looking for interesting items called
lots. A lot may consist of one or more
items that are sold together in a
group. Bids are for the whole lot.
??? You??™ll want to learn what the buyer??™s premium is
for the auction on which you are planning to bid.
The buyer??™s premium is a percentage of the final
price that the auctioneer charges the buyer.
??? You can place an absentee bid on a lot. An
absentee bid allows you to bid before the auction
starts. When the auction starts, the
highest absentee bid acts like a

BID IN A LIVE AUCTION
You have to be quick in a live auction. The Bid Now button also carries the
amount you are bidding. Since in a live auction the amount of the next bid is
predetermined, you don??™t have a choice as to the amount you will bid, only the
timing. You??™ll see your bid in the Message History text pane.
1. After you have signed in to participate in a live auction, look at the Bid Now button and
amount of the current bid.
