Participate in Live Auctions
Selected auction houses are making their live auctions available on eBay. These
auctions are scheduled at particular times, and you can join in, either as a
spectator or as a bidder, on lots (in a live auction, a lot is the same as an item).
The following sections explain the steps you go through to bid in a live auction.
FIND LIVE AUCTIONS
1. From the home page, click Site Map in the eBay header.
2. Under Categories, click eBay Live Auctions to see its home
page, as shown in Figure 4-10:
??? Click Start Here to learn how to navigate live auctions.
??? Under Categories, click the link to see auctions containing items in the category
you want.
NOTE
To bid in a live auction, you must be a registered eBay
user and signed up to participate. When you sign up, you
have to enter your User ID, password, and some form
of identification. It can be a credit card or an alternate ID
from Equifax. (See ???Sign Up to Bid in a Live Auction.???) If
you are already ID Verified, you do not have to do this
last step. If you just want to view the auction, you do not
have to be registered or signed up.
Figure 4-9: When you submit a Best Offer, the seller can accept, counter, or reject it, or just wait until the offer
expires in 48 hours.
