1. On the View Item page, click Place Bid, as shown in Figure 4-4.
2. On the Place Bid page, type the maximum bid amount, and click Continue. Note that
eBay tells you what the current bid amount is at and the required increment so you will
know what your bid must be in order to be entered into the auction.
3. A summary of your bid is displayed in the Review And Confirm page, as shown in
Figure 4-5. If you accept it, click Confirm Bid. A confirmation message is displayed
that you are now the high bidder.

NOTE
If you submit a bid that is not high enough or that does
not meet the reserve price, you will see a message to
that effect. You then have an opportunity to increase your
maximum bid amount.

Bid for Multiple Items
The item shown in Figure 4-6 is an example of a Dutch auction for multiple
items. Once you have asked questions and gotten answers to any questions you
may have, you can place a bid.
1. Click the Place Bid button on the View Item page. The Place Bid
page is displayed.
2. Type the maximum price you want to bid and the quantity of items you
want, and click Continue.
3. A summary of your bid is displayed on the Review And Confirm Bid
page.
