To sign
up for eBay Instant Messaging Alerts:
1. Follow the steps in ???Receive Wireless eBay
Alerts,??? and click Add next to Instant Message
(IM) Alerts instead of Mobile Phone Number For
SMS Alerts.
2. On the eBay Instant Message (IM) Alerts
page, click the Select
IM Messaging Provider
button that applies to you.
3. Click Continue.
4. If you have a messaging account, sign in and
click Sign Up for the message service. Follow the
prompts to send alerts to your e-mail address or
to create a new account.
5. When you have finished, your eBay notifications
will be changed.

NOTE
To find all the messaging opportunities available to
you, click Site Map on the eBay header. Under Buying
Resources, click Wireless. You will see a page, shown
in Figure 3-15, summarizing your choices and sign up
buttons to immediately install the options.

10. Under Watched Item Ending Alert, type the number of
minutes before an item ends that you want to be alerted.
11. Click Submit.
12. On the Confirmation page, you will see that a message has
been sent to your mobile phone number.
