You can contact a bidder for other reasons, however, especially after the
auction is completed.
1. Click the bidder??™s User ID link to open the bidder??™s eBay My World page.
2. Click the feedback rating (the number next to the star) to display the
bidder??™s Feedback Profile page.
3. On the Feedback Profile page, click the Contact Member link.
4. The Contact eBay Member page is displayed, similar to the page previously displayed
in Figure 3-4.
5. Type your message and click Send. You may need to first enter
a group of characters in a text box for security purposes.
Time Your Bid
Sometimes, the way you will be most successful is by timing your bids. In
cases where the item is highly desired by others, you may have to vigorously
compete. The following sections can help you.
Find the Official eBay Time
The official eBay time is always Pacific Standard Time. To
find it, scroll to the bottom of most eBay pages, beneath the
links bar in the eBay footer. Click eBay Official Time. The
page shown in Figure 3-7 is displayed.
SET YOUR TIME DISPLAY FORMAT
You can choose between displaying the time left before a listing ends and
displaying the actual ending time. Displaying the time left is the easiest one to
track when you are figuring out when to bid.
