The longer a buyer or seller has been
on eBay, the more points he or she will have. A user
gets +1 point for good feedback, 0 points for neutral
feedback, and ??’1 for negative feedback. Feedback from
repeat buyers or sellers gives one point, not one per
transaction. Users with a negative feedback of ??’4 are not
allowed to bid or sell on eBay. After ten feedback ratings,
a yellow star is awarded:
10 to 49 points Yellow Star
50 to 99 points Blue Star
100-499 points Turquoise Star
500 to 999 points Purple Star
1000 to 4999 points Red Star
5000 to 9999 points Green Star
10,000 to 24,999 points Yellow Shooting Star
25,000 to 49,999 points Turquoise Shooting Star
50,000 to 99,999 points Purple Shooting Star
100,000 or higher points Red Shooting Star
