Or, perhaps you are not
interested in participating in auctions. In these cases, eBay has fixed-price items
that you can buy without going through the auction process.
1. From the eBay header, click Advanced Search. The Search: Find Items page is
displayed.
2. Type the keyword(s) for the item you want to find or the item number.
3. Click the In This Category down arrow, and select a category.
4. Scroll to the Show Only section:
??? Click Buying Options and click the down arrow to select Buy It Now Items to find
something you can buy right now.
??? Click Gift Items to find an item for a gift.
5. Click Search. The results are displayed.
Understand the Lingo
eBay has a vocabulary all its own. For example, if you read, ???BTW, the CM
diamond ring is TDF, and the SH is Free,??? you might be left scratching your
head, wondering what you are buying! Interpretation: ???By the way, the
customized diamond ring is to die for, and the shipping and handling is
free.??? How can you let a potential buyer know what attributes your item has
without being too wordy? Tables 2-1 through 2-4 contain some examples of
common word usages for describing the conditions of an item, common auction
terminology, shipping descriptions, and ???chit chat??? acronyms that communicate
in a shorthand way.
