Research an Item
You may find yourself searching for special items, such as completed items, gift
items, or Buy It Now items, or, perhaps, cars or real estate, where the item is
more expensive and not necessarily an auction at all. There are unique ways to
search for these items, as you??™ll find in this section.
Find Completed Items
To search for items on which the auctions have been completed so that you can
compare prices:
1. From the eBay header, click Advanced Search. The Search: Find Items page is
displayed.
2. Type the keyword(s) for the item you want to find or the item number.
3. Click the In This Category down arrow, and select a category.
4. Click Completed Listings Only. Your screen may look something like Figure 2-12.
5. Click Search. A listing of all the items is displayed.
Figure 2-12: To find items on which the auctions have been completed,
use the Advanced Search feature.
TIP
A completed auction does not necessarily mean that an
item has been sold. Many auctions, regardless of format,
simply run out of time with no bids being placed.
