Sign in with your User ID and password. Click Secure Sign In.
6. On the Verify Account Information page, verify that your contact
information is correct. You also need to supply your date of birth
and driver??™s license number. Click Continue when finished.
7. Verify your information by scanning the Verify Account Information
page. If the information is correct, click Continue. If it is incorrect,
click Back and correct it.
8. You are asked some questions that only you know the answers to,
including filling in credit card numbers, a past street address, and
perhaps a mortgage amount. Click Continue when finished.
9. Review and verify your information.
10. After signing in one more time, you are informed that your ID Verify
procedure is successful, as shown in Figure 1-16.
NOTE
ID Verify is not a credit check, and if you do not pass
the verification test, your credit will not be affected. Your
credit information is used to prove that you are who you
say you are, not whether you are credit-worthy. eBay
does not store or use any of the private information you
supply during this process.
TIP
Using ID Verify allows you to bid on items that cost
above $15,000 or to use the Buy It Now, Best Offer, or
Live Auction features. If you are a seller, you cannot sell
mature items without it.
