USING A USER ID AND PASSWORD
To register with eBay, you must have both a User ID and
a password.
CREATE A USER ID
The User ID is the name by which others on eBay do
business with you and come to recognize you over time.
To be more effective as a seller, your User ID can be one
that identifies your business or products. As a buyer, you
don??™t have the same considerations to worry about. In
any case, it is your eBay name, so it ought to be one you
like. You can have more than one User ID, but you need
a separate e-mail address for each one.
Your User ID must follow these rules:
??? Must be more than one character long
??? Must contain letters or numbers (but not ???eBay??? or
the letter ???e??? followed by numbers)
??? Cannot contain @, &, ???, < or >, or more than one _
(underscore)
??? Cannot contain spaces or tabs (but can contain
a hyphen as long as it??™s not at the beginning)
??? Cannot be an e-mail address or Web site, or
contain any Uniform Resource Locators (URLs)
??? Must be unique in the eBay system
CREATE A PASSWORD
You will be asked to enter a password that verifies you
are the valid user of your User ID.
