NOTE
A feedback rating is a compilation of your feedback
comments. A positive comment earns you 1 point; a
negative comment loses you 1 point; a neutral comment
has no effect. You must usually have a feedback rating of
10 to 30 points to be eligible to sell using some auction
formats, such as the Buy It Now auction or the Buy It
Now fixed-price auction.

available, but the exact one may be harder to identify. On the home page, using either
the header link bar or the eBay Categories sidebar, find the overall category that
contains your item. Click the link. (Using the diamond ring example, you would most
likely click Jewelry & Watches). Figure 1-5 shows the categories on the home page
sidebar.
2. On the next level, find the category that most closely matches what you want. Click
that link. In our example, rings can be found in several subcategories, such as Body
Jewelry; Ethnic, Tribal Jewelry; and Pins, Brooches. (In our example, clicking Rings |
Diamond Engagement/Anniversary yields a screen displaying the beginning of close to
13,000 items.)
3. Continue to explore the categories until you find what you want.
