the same opportunities that are available on the regular eBay (or ebay.com) that is,
auctions, Buy It Now fixed-price sales, and combo auctions with Buy It Now features
(see Table 1-1). This is where you can find deals, if you are a buyer, or can create
a storefront to list less expensive items, if you are a seller. Since fees are lower for

stores, the items are usually listed at lower prices than those on regular eBay. To open
a store, you have to have sold and had feedback on at least 20 items, or be ID Verified
(a way to guarantee to the buyer that you are who you say you are), or have a PayPal
account in good standing. Statistics seem to bear out that the eBay Stores sites get
more traffic and higher-volume sales than the regular eBay items, especially with the
links from items offered by the store in the regular sites and cross-promotion services
